City Tour:

Buses for the city tour stop at the Alster (See map point 1)
At this point you can access the bus and get off at any stop, to visit the sightseeing attractions. You may get back on the bus again at any time to continue your tour. (Please ensure you get on the correct bus again. There are several bus tour companies).

Alsterdampfer:

Where the tour busses depart (See map point 1), is also the location of the dock where you can access the Alster steam boats. It only takes 3 stops, towards Jungfernstieg, to reach the city center.

Bike rental:

You can rent and return bicycles at any StadtRAD hire station. (See map point 2 for closest hire station). The StadtRAD (city bike) gives you spontaneous, individual mobility. Experience all that Hamburg has to offer; whether work, leisure or tourist attractions, in a very special way, right in tune with the pulse of the city. Many hire stations, throughout the entire city, offer facilities round the clock for renting and returning a StadtRAD . See website for more information:

 Taxi:

You can order a taxi by phone at (040) 211 211, or walk to the nearest taxi stand. (See map point 3) It’s also possible to stop any passing taxi right on the street.

Restaurants and more:

Only 300 meters from the apartment, is the Mühlenkamp and Papenhuder Strasse where many nice restaurants and shops are located. A good Italian restaurant is Farinelli Da Franco (See map point 4) or, for the gourmet, a real chic French restaurant, LaFayette (See map point 5).

Henny's Restaurant

Henny’s offers an extensive menu including sushi, pasta and steak. It is a popular restaurant located at Hans-Henny-Jahnn Weg 1. (See map point 12): reservations are recommended.

Hüftgold, Café / Bistro
This cute street café offers breakfast, homemade cakes and soups. You can sit on the terrace or inside surrounded by nature photography.

It is a pleasant café serving breakfast, creative pastries, sandwiches, salads and baked goods.

 is a small café but has good breakfast for the early risers. Papenhuder Str. 39

Die Alsterperle
The Alsterperle is a special experience in nice weather. You can sit right at the Alster’s edge enjoying the beautiful views while enjoying your food. The Alterperle offers the most beautiful view of the Alster and the city of Hamburg.   (See Map 2 point 14)
